What to look out for when choosing a family holiday
If you are planning a family holiday there are a few things that you should look out for so to ensure you get the most out of your holiday and that everyone has fun. Here are some things to consider before booking;
Time of year
It probably seems obvious but consider the time of year you are going. You may have got a really cheap deal that seems too good to be true but when you get there every major attraction is closed. Depending on your holiday destination, some of the major attractions may not be open if you choose to go out of peak season.
Some towns and cities rely heavily on tourism and as such put all their efforts and money into making the holiday season great fun and entertainment for all. Visiting during the months of May-August will ensure you get the best of the entertainment, however, visiting outside these months may mean the area is quiet with little to do.
Consider going with friends
If you know another family that have children then consider going with them as well. You may find that discounts are available for group bookings and it will also mean the children have friends there to play with, leaving you more time to relax without entertaining them yourself.
Going with friends also means you can share the babysitting duties which can be stressful and exhausting. It is recommended that you get separate accommodation but if you get on really well with the other family there is no reason why you can’t all share.
Things to do
There must be plenty to do, especially for the children. Swimming pools are a must have as they are great fun, due to the weather in-door swimming pools are probably going to be found more commonly but if the pool is outdoor then make sure it is heated. A play area or kids club for the children is really important to entertain them and give you some time to yourself.
Ensure all areas of the resort are well secure with lifeguards around the swimming pool and fully trained employees in charge of the kids club. This will give you the peace of mind required to enjoy your break.
Holiday parks are a great option with plenty for the kids to do during the day and great shows from leading performers for everyone to enjoy at night.
Tips on best cheap holidays in the UK
Finding the best cheap holidays is not as easy as it used to be, but there are places on the web that help you in your search for not only the cheap package holidays, but cheap hotels and cheap flights – you just need to know how to search for them! If you use a site like www.travelaide.co.uk, you can save so much time searching that you will wonder why you have never used it before! The beauty about sites like Travel Aide is that not only can it save you time like I just mentioned, but it can save you so much money on so many different aspects of your holiday. The services you can find through a site that does all the work for you include finding cheap flights, hotels, holidays, car hire, travel insurance and much more! If you think about it, all these websites are doing is saving you time, energy and most importantly money. How would you usually go about searching for a cheap holiday, Google? Your local high-street travel agent? Asking friends what deals they got? However you would do it, I can guarantee it won’t be as effective as searching on a site like Travel Aide or Google and being offered a comparison and list of the best places to go, and the best prices available. I have checked through several other sites similar to the one I mentioned, and you still have to be careful not to stumble upon a pure marketing site that takes money directly from the hotels etc. just to promote them, as this will not save you money nor will it get you the best possible holiday for your money. The usual idea that comes to your head when you think of the word ‘cheap’ before flight, holiday or anything else related to travel is probably ‘bad quality’, right? I don’t blame you. However, the goal of these sites is not to offer you the worst possible places at the best prices, it’s to offer you good accommodation in the best areas for the cheapest possible prices –they want you to use the site again, so of course they won’t be recommending poor quality hotels that they themselves wouldn’t think about staying in! We all know how hard it is to find the best and cheapest car hire companies in the location we are going, don’t we? You usually end up having to accept the first one offered or the first one you see! Through using a site like this you can sift through them and find the cheapest and best solution for your particular needs. For more details please contact at: http://www.travelaide.co.uk/
Traditional Conference Or Team Building Weekend? The Choice Is Yours At A Conference Hotel
Organising a conference can be hard work, and the decision whether to have a traditional conference or a more adventurous team building exercise event can be tricky. However, if you choose the right conference hotel you will be well on your way to having a good work event.
The perfect hotel, and there are many conference hotels in the UK, will set the tone for your entire business event and potentially how well your conference goes. Your staff will be pleased if you book the right accommodation and it will certainly add to the sense of anticipation of the day or few days planned.
However, everyone is there for a purpose and that is to learn and bond as employees, and it will be down the organiser to decide whether to have a traditional conference with speakers, break-out rooms and so on, or base the conference around various team-building events.
Your Conference Hotel Is Key
When you are organising a conference, it’s important to consider what you or your bosses – if you are tasked with organising it and not the employer – want the company employees to get out of it and exactly what kind of hotel you require. For example, if you have a number of keynote guest speakers appearing, imparting words of motivation or business advice, you will need a large room with presentation technology, and perhaps break-off rooms to discuss the talk and come back with questions. Employees may even be given tasks to do which they will need to go away and discuss, returning to present or discuss their ideas with the rest of the group – the conference hotel you choose must have adequate rooms.
You may be going down the team-building route, in order to revive an annual business conference that has perhaps become slightly staid. The market for team-building events has become huge in recent years, with an increasingly diverse range of activities to undertake – and there are outdoor and indoor options to consider. Outdoor activities can include a traditional school sports day, incorporating an egg and spoon race for example, or a more challenging treasure hunt, following well-thought through clues. Popular indoor activities are ‘The Bigger Picture’ whereby employees have to construct a giant jigsaw puzzle, or a ‘breaking news’ style game, requiring staff to write and produce a short news item as if they worked for a fast-paced news channel.
Motivate Your Team And Have A Great Time
It’s clear how important choosing the right conference hotel is – if you have planned a number of outdoor games you must ensure your hotel choice has a large garden area and that you will be allowed to take it over! Getting the details and the accommodation right is extremely important, and when you search for conference hotels, UK you must have a clear idea of the type of event you want to have.
Dog Friendly Hotels in the Lake District
It is estimated that there are around 27 million pets in the UK equating to 43% of UK households having at least one pet. In the current economic climate, how can tourism businesses exclude such a high proportion of the market?
Sending a pet to a kennel whilst you are on holiday can be inconvenient as not everyone has a kennelling centre near them. Kennelling and pet sitting services can be quite expensive almost doubling the cost of the holiday. Another and perhaps the biggest reason why pet and dog friendly hotels are appealing is that many owners hate the thought of having to leave their dog or pet when they go away. Taking a dog abroad has its problems with quarantining etc but if the holiday is in the UK, why not take your pet along? Pets are often a large part of the family so leaving him or her for a week can sometimes be quite upsetting. In fact, some even let pets go free which makes taking a pet with you far cheaper than kennelling.
It is not always appropriate or right to take a pet on holiday should the destination, type of accommodation or the activities on the holiday not be suitable for a pet. The Cumbria – Lake District on the other hand is one destination with a great choice of activities and that both the family and Fido with enjoy equally. It is now far easier to take your pet away with you without compromising on the choice of holiday. In fact, there are now pet friendly hotels which a few years ago, was almost unheard of.
Many hotels in the UK and the Cumbria – Lake District specifically exclude dogs and pets of all sorts from their premises. However, some hotels welcome all well-behaved pets to enjoy a holiday with their owners. Some dog friendly hotels in the Lake District offer walking services, special bed linen and beds and food.

Should you be planning a visit, you will be please to hear that there are many different types of accommodation available. Among them are:
Chain Hotels – Are the most expensive type of accommodation in the UK, but you get what you pay for. Plan to spend at least $100 a night if this is your choice of a place to stay. They are found mainly in major cities and include most major chains such as Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Inn, etc. London actually offers several hotels from each chain.
Independent Hotels – These are one-off establishments that range from five star luxury to one star bare-bones. They can be found in most cities and towns, even relatively small ones that are not known for attracting many tourists. They can provide great value for money but they do represent a bit of a gamble as the cleanliness and service provided all comes down to the individual standards of the owners. Price-wise, they range from $40 to $100-plus.
Hostels – If you are young, adventurous, and on a tight budget, keep in mind that the UK offers hostel accommodation. They are most prevalent in London but if you research a bit you can find them in other large cities. Hostels offer a bed in a shared room and not much more. The best thing about a hostel is that you can stay in one for about $20 a night. Prices vary though so check on them before deciding to stay in a hostel.
Bed And Breakfasts – These establishments are something of a UK tradition and are very popular with UK citizens who travel within the country during their vacation. A typical bed and breakfast is basically a large house that rents out rooms to tourists. They are very personal and the owners normally do what they can do make you feel at home. As you can guess by the name, breakfast is nearly always included in the price, which ranges from $20 to $50.
Most UK accommodation have a website or can be found on one of those websites that offers a variety of accommodation. However you look, you should be able to find the perfect accommodation for your UK vacation in less than half an hour.

Avoid Hidden costs with family holidays in the UK
When we start to plan our family holiday it is important to make sure that we find the best deal possible but this can be tricky as there are often a number of hidden charges that can accompany a holiday abroad. Although not all these charges can be avoided, the vast majority of them can be as prices are considerably more transparent when buying within the UK.
The first charge that may be incurred is when you arrive at the airport and have to check your bags in as if you are over the limit you will have to pay fines. If you are flying with a low cost airline then your limit is going to be either 15kg or 20kg which is not much if you are going for a week or two. Charges can vary but you may have to pay around £100 in charges. When travelling within the UK you can simply drive to your destination or take the train, either way you can pack whatever you want to as long as you can carry it.
When travelling abroad you may want to hire a car when you get there so that you see everything the place has to offer. This can be expensive and if you need things like a booster seat this can cost you a considerable amount of money on top. Car hire can be dangerous so make sure that you look after the car and ensure that the tank is full when you give it back if it was agreed when you took out the deal. Extra charges are quite common on car hire but when you stay within the UK you can use your own car or if you travel to places such as a holiday park you can park up and you will not need your car during your stay there.
Added to the problems of hidden costs you are travelling to a foreign country and your accommodation is often part of the package deal and the pictures are always nice and well taken photographs but in reality there are not what they seem. Unfortunately once you are there it is too late as you have already paid for the room and you have to just get on with it and enjoy your holiday as much as you can. You are likely to be able to do more research when staying in UK hotels and other forms of accommodation so you will have a better idea of what to expect.
When looking for a summer holiday UK deals make sure you search online for the best deals including the best deals on a holiday park.

Norfolk Venue Finding Agency and Hotel Accommodation
When planning a business function for your most important employees and clients, many considerations must come into play. Almost assuredly, business trip planners will be looking to do the best with a budget, provide a great time for all the people there, and make life as simple as possible for clients and employees alike. This is why many businesses choose to use a venue finding agency and hotel accommodation search service. This type of service can help turn an average conference or function into one of the best business trips of the year.
The best company planners know that a lot of things go into making a great trip or conference. For example, a venue finding agency and hotel accommodation service might decide that Norfolk venue is one of the best places to hold a conference because of its location. Location is one of the primary considerations when choosing your given venue for a business conference. It shouldn’t be too far from your business office, so you can effectively get your employees and clients to the function. There must be a delicate balance, however. The most experienced venue finding agency and hotel accommodation agency would know that it is important to get away a little bit in order to create a vacation-like feel for the event.
Location isn’t the only consideration worth taking into account, though. The most experienced planners might choose Hampshire venue, because there is much to do in this type of location. Though business conferences are primarily about business and getting work done, that isn’t going to consume 100% of the time that your clients and employees are there. When they get finished with work and meetings, they might want to take the time to play a round of golf or have a nice meal. Depending upon what type of business you have, there might be some people in the company that would like to check out the town’s nightlife. Having a good balance of things to do is important if you want to keep clients and employees happy during the conference.
Many companies will choose to use a venue finding agency and hotel accommodation expert, because they want to find the resort that offers the most comfort and convenience. A business meeting or conference is an important time for any corporation. There are undoubtedly some very important things to go over in meetings, so there must be ample meeting space for the entire employee and client base. Size isn’t the only thing to keep in mind, though. One must think about the staff and reputation of the hotel or resort. Are the people kind and do they take great care of business people while they’re in town? Do they enjoy making life easier for everyone in your business? These are questions to consider before choosing a resort to hold a conference.
A great conference is one that isn’t difficult to get to. This should also be considered when choosing the perfect location for a business conference. If it is at all possible, choose a location that is within driving distance of your company’s headquarters. This way, your people can get to the conference without a whole lot of cost, and they don’t have to worry about the headache of heading to the airport. This will also help improve the overall flow of the business conference, as people don’t have to worry about missed flights, delayed flights, or the inevitable lost bag of luggage. These things are extremely important to keep in mind if you plan on hosting a great conference.
There are many things that go into planning a business conference. It doesn’t matter if the business is huge or small; considerations have to be taken into account to make sure that each member of the business party has a fun and productive time. Since there are so many things to know and consider, most companies will consider using a venue finding agency and hotel accommodation expert. These people have been around the block and know everything there is to know about the various resorts throughout the area. They also know what to say to get the best rates available and make the conference a profitable one.
Price, location, outside entertainment, and comfort are all things to keep in mind before choosing a venue. There are lots of suitable business conference locations out there that have to be discovered. If your company’s needs are kept in mind when the planning is done, then everything will be good when the conference comes around. People will be ready to get a lot of work done, and when the work is done, they will have many options for things to do. If everyone is happy in a business, then more work gets done. The bottom line demands that a great conference be planned.

Tips to help save money when on holiday in Orlando
We all like to get away from the real world and take a holiday perhaps once or twice a year. It’s a chance to get away from the mundane day to day routines and go away and relax, hopefully in the sunshine! Because of its weather, Florida is a destination that is enjoyed all year round by many UK holiday makers with plenty of fun to be had all year round.
But it doesn’t have to cost the earth.
You can keep your costs down by watching your budget. The first thing to do is consider the cost of your accommodation. How many people are going on your trip? If you have quite a large party then maybe you should consider staying in a privately owned holiday villa. The Villas can often accommodate 8 -14 people and are very reasonably priced. You will probably save considerably on hotel rooms.
You can also find some very reasonable flights to the USA, so shop around on the Internet before you book something.
If you stay in a Villa you can also keep your costs of meals down as well. Everyone knows that eating in hotels is expensive and villas usually have a good selection of restaurants nearby with many providing takeaway meals (or meals “to go” as they call them in Florida). Buying meals from supermarkets and cooking them in your private kitchen will also save you considerable amounts of money compared to eating out in a restaurant every night.
There are discount coupon books available at many of the shopping plazas in the Disney area, so it is worth looking out for these. The discounts apply to restaurants and dinner shows as well as some of the attractions and offer ‘Buy one get one free’ or ‘Kids eat free’ for various venues.
Of course, having a fun day doesn’t necessarily mean spending money. As well as trips to the nearby beaches, look out for the State Parks that offer nature trails, and fishing and boating lakes at minimal cost. You may also want to visit one of the local ‘Historic Districts’ that offer something different in terms of shopping and entertainment. The villa communities often have play areas for children and possibly tennis or volleyball courts for use of guests. You can also consider a trip to the beach for a day relaxing in the sun and swimming in the beautiful waters that surround Florida. You may see dolphins and turtles close to shore, as well as pelicans and shoals of fish. If you plan to fish either inland or at the coast, don’t forget to check whether you will need a licence for either fresh or salt water or both. Staff at local Walmart supermarkets can advise you and you can also pick up any equipment you will need at very reasonable costs.
Car hire is recommended when staying in a villa as life in Florida is geared around the use of a car with plentiful free parking. Public transport is not really geared to tourists as many package holidays include car hire, sometimes for just part of your stay so this is worth checking out. The cost of fuel in Florida is low, particularly when compared to the UK making car hire a good deal overall.
These are just a few tips that can help you save a bit of money without sacrificing a good time whilst on holiday in Florida and Orlando. If you decide to hire a villa, consider contacting the owner as they may have local knowledge of cost saving tips.
Budget Hotels Usually Better Than the Real Deal
Whether you are looking to go on holiday abroad or just stay in your home country, hotels are the one thing that you want to get right. You do not want to be stuck in a destination for 2 weeks with a rotten piece of accommodation. So how exactly do you choose what is best? Well we used to be able to rely on the stars system a few years back. But to say the least the stars are being very much abused and you can surely get some accommodation that is better than a 5 star hotel when it is only a 2 or 3 star itself.
Speaking from experience here, I am going to tell you about a holiday I actually went on myself. This holiday was booked well in advance at least 12 months before we were due to go. I decided to get myself a 4 star hotel that was all inclusive, before this I had never been all inclusive so it looked like a very interesting offer.
After arriving in the country I boarded a coach to take me to the hotel, I still had the brochure on me from the time that I booked the trip. The coach was to make a few drop off points to over hotels so that passengers could get off. When we got to the first hotel it looked amazing, the build and the luxury of the building was mind blowing, I quickly looked through the brochure and spotted it was 2 stars, so I thought to myself this is probably due to the food and the interior. The next 3 hotels were just as nice and were all 3 stars. The look and feel of them were amazing, finally we pulled up to the gates of the hotel that I was due to stay in. I was gobsmacked to say the least, being a 4 star hotel the building looked like it was falling apart. I decided to stay calm as I knew the interior would be much better.
When I went into the room there was a horrid smell of some type of eggs from the sewage, I then went to eat and to be honest it turned out to be the holiday from hell. I had an upset stomach throughout the stay and could not sleep due to all of the creatures and insects around the room.
So if you are looking to go and stay in a hotel, you should not just rely on the star system, as it can sometimes be very misleading. You should check the hotel out carefully and try to find some reviews, either in the brochure or online. I have stayed in a 2 star hotel that was better then this 4 star one. Think carefully and choose carefully for a great holiday.

Seaside Hotel Tips for Seaside Holiday?s
Going on holiday is an experience we look forward to for weeks if not months in advance. These days many of us are holidaying in the UK, possibly in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, possibly as it can be cheaper, or for some people, a way to relive childhood memories of holidays on the British Coast.
There are many factors which affect how enjoyable our holidays are and these fall under a variety of categories. The kind of activities you can do both inside and outside on holiday are often what makes the experience what it is, and when holidaying in Britain even in the summer time it is good to have some indoor activities lined up to keep you out of the probable rain!
A factor of your holiday experience which is one of the most important is the hotel you choose to stay in. In many seaside resorts such as Bournemouth there are a multitude of different types of accommodation to choose from, from sea-side hotels to luxury boutique hotels. There are so many hotels in Bournemouth that it is essential you do your research and find the best seaside hotel for your needs.
To help you to find the best seaside hotel here are a few tips:
* Location.
Make sure the hotel is near all the local attractions and close to the sea. If looking for a Bournemouth hotel for example, you want to be a close enough walk to both the town centre and the seaside.
*Level of accommodation.
Sometimes an older more characteristic 3* hotel can be more beautiful than a modern looking 4* hotel, and as long as all of the taken for granted mod cons are installed such as a power shower in the bathroom, your stay will be more enjoyable due to the immense character.
*Seaside hotel reviews
Browsing online can often bring up many different seaside hotel reviews which can help influence your hotel choice.
*If looking in Bournemouth, does the Bournemouth hotel have a website?
If the hotel has a website then you can see pictures of the rooms and the communal areas and you can also often get discounted rates when making a booking online. You will also be able to see the address and check on an online map how far the hotel is from all the local attractions which you want to visit. Hotels in Bournemouth are often near to the beach, the gardens, the Bournemouth International Centre and Pavillion theatre where you can see shows, and there are also seaside museums.
Bournemouth like many other seaside resorts is a really enjoyable place to holiday, be it with your whole family or just a loved one or a friend. Once your Bournemouth hotel is arranged you can start planning a memorable trip.

What Quality Hotel Accommodation Can Do for You
When it comes to star rating for hotels many of us are aware that 4 star hotels in central London are likely to be more expensive than 3 star hotels and we as consumers are also aware that the price of hotel accommodation also depends upon the location of the hotel. But do we really get what we pay for when it comes to 4 star hotel accommodation? Or are we paying for the location, not the service?
The rating of hotels tells us a lot about the quality and service we can expect to get as guests at particular hotels. For instance, 4 star hotels in London are likely to be stylishly decorated and luxuriously equipped with all the latest facilities and amenities. Highly trained staff helps to make your stay there comfortable and relaxing, making guests who regularly stay hotel accommodation in the centre of the UK’s capital want to return again and again.
The idea behind 4 star hotel accommodation is to allow guests to feel like royalty when staying away from home. Every small detail will have been carefully planned and thought out, from the communal lounge areas to the room service menu, a quality hotel should leave you wanting for nothing, except for a few more days there!
In a city as large as London, location is everything and with many of the prime spots being taken by luxury hotels visitors do not question how much the accommodation costs. Another possible explanation for the increasing cost of central London hotels is the fact that there are thousands of businesses and offices in the heart of the city.
With hotel accommodation in central locations becoming a favourite with business visitors, many hotels are now providing state of the art conference and business facilities so in most cases you can expect to pay more. This is not a great surprise considering hotels in central London are amongst the most expensive hotels in the world.
However, this does not mean that you can not find central London hotel accommodation for affordable prices. There are a number of smaller franchises who provide luxury 4 star accommodation at very good rates. Many even have special offers which are always worth looking out for.
In answer to the statement, what can quality hotel accommodation do for you; the answer is quite a lot but only if you are prepared to pay for it. Do not be badgered into staying at a hotel because it claims to have a superb location as it often pays to be shrewd and shop around. 4 star hotels are well worth the money in terms of quality, but this does not mean that you should pay over the odds.
